Our material is mined from our own mine in the Bushveld complex (which contains among other things the world’s largest chrome ore deposits). It is located north of Johannesburg and is where the majority of the best quality foundry grade chromite sands currently originate. The mine is currently opencast but underground mining will be considered in the future.
Traditionally material has been sourced from the ferro-chrome miners and processed into foundry grade sand. Our process is focussed on developing foundry grade chromite sand.
